This vintage classic takes you back to 1980, when Washington was an NFC powerhouse, and Joe Theismann was an institution behind the snap in DC. This amazing poster features the legendary QB in action during his NFL prime, dropping back to pass in his inimitable style! As with all posters in the "White Border" Sports Illustrated design that spanned the years 1978-1987, this one features the best of Sports Illustrated photography, the iconic white-bordered layout, and a facsimile signature from the player himself as part of the design!

This particular poster was obtained as part of our "Toledo Collection", obtained from a collector in Ohio who preserved his large collection of old 1970s and 1980s Sports Illustrated posters flat, never displayed on the wall, and virtually untouched since purchasing them out of store racks back in the day. This one displays as well as it would have back in the day, with just some minor typical imperfections consistent with any poster purchased at that time.
