This amazing poster features old "Buckethead" himself, Steve Furness, in his bonecrushing NFL prime, making life miserable for Hall of Fame running back Tony Dorsett, as he brings the roar to the fans at Three Rivers Stadium. Incredible action from the glorious '70s! As with all posters in the "White Border" Sports Illustrated design that spanned the years 1978-1987, this one features the best of Sports Illustrated photography, the iconic white-bordered layout, and a facsimile signature from the player himself as part of the design!
This particular poster was obtained from a dealer in Pennsylvania who preserved it in impeccable condition for more than three decades, never displayed on the wall, and virtually untouched since purchasing it out of store racks back in the day. This one displays as well as it would have back in the day, with just some minor typical imperfections consistent with any poster purchased at that time. The picture you see here is the actual poster you will receive! Don't miss your chance at this one, Steelers fans.

Take a step back in time, to a glorious era in sandroautomoveiss, and one of the most beloved superstars in Pittsburgh Steelers history! Even though this one was published in '79, it has added historical significance because the picture used is actually from January 18, 1976 - yes, Super Bowl X, when the Steelers took it to the Cowboys in the fourth quarter in Miami to defend their NFL championship title, thanks in no small part to the unstoppable rushing of the great Franco Harris. You can see the 1976 Centennial patch on the uniforms, you can see Cowboys Hall of Fame cornerback Mel Renfro off in the distance, trying to get back into the play, you can see guard Sam Davis on the ground after doing his job at the line of scrimmage; and you can see the sun-soaked Orange Bowl fans enjoying one of the great Super Bowl games of all-time. As with all posters in the "White Border" Sports Illustrated design that spanned the years 1978-1987, this one features the best of Sports Illustrated photography, the iconic white-bordered layout, and a facsimile signature from the player himself as part of the design!
This particular poster was obtained as part of our "Toledo Collection", obtained from a collector in Ohio who preserved his large collection of old 1980s Sports Illustrated posters flat, never displayed on the wall, and virtually untouched since purchasing them out of store racks back in the day. This one displays as well as it would have back in the day, with just some minor typical imperfections consistent with any poster purchased at that time. The picture you see here is the actual poster you will receive! Don't miss your chance at this one, Steelers fans.
